Greetings to All,
Nepal Association for the Study of Pain(NASP) was established in the year 2073 BS (2016 AD) with a vision to address
the pressing issue of pain management in Nepal. Pain is a universal human experience, and yet,
it often goes unnoticed or inadequately managed. Our journey over the years has been dedicated
to changing this narrative and bringing relief to those who suffer from chronic pain.
Our primary areas of focus include:
Improvement of Pain Education: We firmly believe that
education is the cornerstone of progress. NASP is committed to enhancing the knowledge and
skills of healthcare professionals, researchers, psychologists, and physical therapists in the
field of pain management. Through workshops, seminars, conferences, and collaborative
initiatives, we aim to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, ensuring that
we remain at the forefront of pain education.
Raising Awareness about the Importance of Pain Management: It is our duty to
advocate for those
who endure chronic pain silently. NASP strives to raise awareness among policymakers, healthcare
providers, and the general public about the significance of proper pain management. By doing so,
we hope to bridge the gap between those in need and the care they deserve.
Expanding Pain Services: Access to comprehensive pain management services is a
fundamental
right. NASP is dedicated to working with healthcare institutions, both public and private, to
establish dedicated pain clinics and units across Nepal. We aim to make pain management more
accessible and affordable to individuals from all walks of life.
We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our initiatives, events, and resources.
Whether you are a healthcare professional, researcher, patient, or simply someone interested in
our cause, we encourage you to get involved and support our mission. Together, we can make a
profound difference in the lives of countless individuals who grapple with pain daily. Thank you
for visiting NASP's website, and we look forward to your continued support and engagement.
